There are numerous studies on large scale hydrokinetic turbines which ise used in marine and ocean environment. However, little efforts have been made on riverine hydrokinetic energy conversion systems. The aim of this study was to discuss the feasiblity and applicability of hydrokinetic turbines for river energy conversion.
